{Blogged after a bath and a root beer} As any new mother will tell you, along with the body changes and life changes and hormone changes they come with a new baby, there are so many emotional changes you experience that the simple things really do make a world of difference. Like this Irresistible Me Diamond styling iron. The little things like taking a shower and actually styling your hair can lift your spirits considerably. I got this iron in a fabulous red color, something I've never really done before. I always choose silver or black but this red is fun. I love so many things about this product. It heats up very quickly and it's ceramic and so lightweight. It also has an automatic shut off, which takes away that backing out of the driveway fear of "Wait, did I unplug it?" It doesn't matter! The plate is smooth and moves through your hair without pulling or damage. I have pretty straight hair to start with, but it has a tendency to be dry and frizzy on the ends. This flat iron completely eliminated that. It comes with instructions for suggested temperatures depending upon hair type. Since I have fine hair, I set the iron to low and ran this iron over my hair only one time most areas and it was great. I will do a follow up post and show some before and after pictures for you! If you are in the market for high quality styling products, go check out www.irresistibleme.com. Sweetly, Michelle

Well hello there! Let me tell you about the crazy weather that was going on when I was taking these pictures-- it got cloudy and rainy really quickly and COLD (Southern California cold. So like, 69 or 70. Freezing, in other words) The good news is that even though it was windy (read: hair flying everywhere) and my teeth were chat chat chattering, the sky turned an amazing pink. We've been over this before but I am practically dumbfounded over sunsets. Actually, the sky in general. My phone is full of pictures of great big clouds and beautiful skies full of pinks and red. I look up at the sky all of the time and it rarely disappoints and really, how can you have a bad day with all of that beauty surrounding you? Answer: You can't! Take my word for it. Look up.
I would have to think about whether I would wear this outfit to work because it might be a little short for a law office (for me anyway). I am really particular about the length and silhouette of pieces because dressing for the office as a woman is (for better or worse) establishing credibility and nothing undermines that faster than a too short hemline or too much cleavage. Maybe someday, we can all be judged by what is on our inside but until we stumble into that Utopia, I'm not taking any chances!! I think this little set is perfect for an after- work function or dinner and a show. The skirt and shirt are both from Zara and are a really nice quality- heavy and textured. It's a deep, beautiful shade of navy, too. In the summer, it would be really cute with a neutral strappy sandal and an arm full of bangles. I pulled this bag out of the closet for the first time in a long while. I love this bag. Wait, I love all bags. I have every Gucci bag I've ever purchased going back maybe 15 years and I never sell them. They are like family to me. I'm a Gucch-a-holic (we all have our problems though, am I right!?) π
We hope your day and your week are just lovely and hey! Thank you so much for stopping by! Xoxo ππMichelle
Two Way Tassel
ο»ΏOh my goodness, what a beautiful dinner I had last Saturday night with a group of friends in Laguna Beach (and sorry for just getting around to telling you about it now but oye what a week!) First of all, the weather was ahhmazing...just like summer (why do I hear every phrase that has the word "summer" in it in Olaf's voice?) Everyone was out and about on the cute little streets and the air was infused with that energy, like "How are we lucky enough to get these temps in March?" It was a low key dinner with a few couples (at a cute place called Lumberyard, for you locals!) and I really wanted to wear this tassel necklace I got from CAbi, which is one of those necklaces that you can wear like 10 different ways (It's a pendant! It's a bracelet! It's a necklace! --except I am that person that can't figure any of it out.) Its that pretty sparkly that you see on the one side and then a gold almost filigree on the other (and you can wear it either way) Since it can be 90 degrees and I'm freezing, I was perfectly comfortable in this sweater with my cute shorts. Before we left our house, I tried on a pair of strappy sandals and then some pointy heels and I don't know- it was too much of something... toe? leg? I don't know but the little booties seemed just right! Let me also say that I have been watching hair tutorials on YouTube (I know! The exciting life I lead) and I decided to try a little beachy wave here... Not as great as the video (completely NOT YouTube's fault) but I really loved how it turned out! Hope you all have an amazing weekend and we sure appreciate you stopping by- xoxo Michelle
