The Key to My Heart 📚✨✨

Anytime someone asks me to describe my most perfect day, it always involves books. Reading a book, meandering through a bookstore, or the holy grail for all book loving nerds like me- a trip to an actual library! Libraries and bookstores (and Disneyland. And Golden Spoon. Wait, and anywhere on the 3rd floor of South Coast by Nordies) are my happy places.  I love the stillness in bookstores. I love the smell of libraries.  Books and words are just a part of me. My mom said from the time I could walk, I walked carrying a book. I have literally devoured books from as early as I can remember and I still do. I read voraciously and I read everytime I have a second to spare.  Brushing my teeth, blow drying my hair, at night in the bath - I read while I am doing it all!

My sweet husband knows this and we spent part of our date night before dinner in a book store... And then we came home and lit sparklers! Sparklers are so fun! I always keep a little tube of them from Sugarfina handy for moments just like these! Can you say perfect night? Hope that your night was wonderful too! Thanks for stopping by dear reader!🍭🎀Michelle

Enchanting Edelman 🎀🎀🍥🍥

Good morning! I would like to start off by discussing last nights RHOBH Reunion (because I had a Girls Watching Par-tay last night at my house- with Bravo BINGO!) but that might be a story for another day! Onto the goods.   I originally saw these Sam Edelman sling-backed beauties on Anthropologie's website maybe 2 months ago and fell in loooove but like it always turns out when you really really love something, you go back to buy it- and pouf! Like bad magic, it's gone (there is a lesson to be learned here, ladies- do not give in to caution or reason- just buy. Buy fast! Buy with abandon!)

Nordstrom came through like it always does and I found them there. You can find them here! {Bonus- they are on sale!} Super comfy and a good nude shoe to add to my collection when an outfit calls for a little something-something more (which is pretty much ALWAYS!) They are a rafia-type material and I really liked them with this goldishy linen textured skirt and jacket,  (because really, does gold ever steer you wrong? Generally speaking? :)) I just ordered the suit and it is office perfection!   Hope your Wednesday is a beautiful one! 🎀🍭Michelle

Believe in the Color Pink

{Suit by Vince Camuto at Nordstrom. Chanel sunnies}

Hi there lovelies! How cute is this suit? Maybe not a wear to court suit for me (too Elle Woods?) but perfect for everywhere else! I was searching for this quote so I could post it with my beautiful pink Vince Camuto suit on Instagram and I was surprised by how many thoughtful, grounded things Audrey Hepburn said. She was even more lovely inside, (which seems impossible but it's true!) I put a few more below... I hope your day is lovely dear readers! And hey you! Thanks for stopping by! Xoxo

"I believe in pink. I believe that laughter is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls.  I believe tomorrow is another day... And I believe in miracles".

Elegance is the only beauty that never fades.

For me the only things of interests are those linked to the heart.

Two Way Tassel

  1.

Oh my goodness, what a beautiful dinner I had last Saturday night with a group of friends in Laguna Beach (and sorry for just getting around to telling you about it now but oye what a week!) First of all, the weather was ahhmazing...just like summer (why do I hear every phrase that has the word "summer" in it in Olaf's voice?)  Everyone was out and about on the cute little streets and the air was infused with that energy, like "How are we lucky enough to get these temps in March?"  It was a low key dinner with a few couples (at a cute place called Lumberyard, for you locals!) and I really wanted to wear this tassel necklace I got from CAbi, which is one of those necklaces that you can wear like 10 different ways (It's a pendant! It's a bracelet! It's a necklace! --except I am that person that can't figure any of it out.) Its that pretty sparkly that you see on the one side and then a gold almost filigree on the other (and you can wear it either way)  Since it can be 90 degrees and I'm freezing, I was perfectly comfortable in this sweater with my cute shorts.  Before we left our house, I tried on a pair of strappy sandals and then some pointy heels and I don't know- it was too much of something... toe?  leg? I don't know but the little booties seemed just right!  Let me also say that I have been watching hair tutorials on YouTube (I know! The exciting life I lead) and I decided to try a little beachy wave here... Not as great as the video (completely NOT YouTube's fault) but I really loved how it turned out!  Hope you all have an amazing weekend and we sure appreciate you stopping by- xoxo Michelle
